Julián Lona (1989, Argentina):

In 2013, he premiered CISMA, his first feature film (declared of cultural interest in the City of Córdoba) which exposes the music industry’s current situation through the insight of musicians such as Gustavo Santaolalla, Walas (Massacre), Leo García, Luciano Supervielle, among others.

In 2016 he releases his second film as director, UMBRAL, documentary feature film with testimonies of great references of Latin American rock, among them Fito Páez, Café Tacvba La Vela Puerca and more. The film has been selected in 15 international festivals in 8 countries (Uruguay, Argentina, Romania, Colombia, Mexico, Bolivia, Brazil and the United States).

In 2020 premiered his third feature documentary, which has already been selected to participate in development sections such as MARDOC LAB (Mar del Plata International Film Festival), MIPDOC and MIPTV (Cannes, France). The film is about the argentinian artist Elian Chali and has been filmed in Argentina, Germany, Spain, Czech Republic and France.

Until now “ELIAN” has eleven selections at international festivals winning the “BEST DOCUMENTARY” award at Swindon Independent Film Fest (England) and “Best Feature Doc” at Rome Prisma Independent Awards (Italy).

Currently he is writting the script for his 4th feature film, first fiction as a director.
